OK, I'm with ya'll. I'm just dumbfounded that the little sidebars get some folks so riled up. I'd rather not lose anyone from the forum (political opinion posters, propagandists, Europeans, Americans.... EVEN THE LAWYERS!!!!!).
The forum can only be "taken over" if people decide to let it be. I think Bert was on the money stopping that earlier thread, becasue it was heading towards some nastiness. But in general, who cares if someone has a different opinion and wants to voice it? If we all really cared that much, we'd probably take out second mortgages and buy Harleys!
Anyway, I'll not to encourage any of the "John Birch" stuff, but let's not put out any ultimatums: I'd rather not lose ANYONE. If folks are going to leave the forum because they don't like what they read (their choice to read it) then how do you think other folks will react when they are told that their opinions are no longer welcome?!
I know not what others may choose, but as for me, give me liberty or...... (Just kidding folks- couldn't resist- that's a little US history joke for those of you across the pond....)
